So far I have used my POD HD500 and my POD Studio UX2 audio interface to record guitars.
I normally set the preset on the HD500 to have a wet (signal with amp and cab sim) and a dry/direct signal at the same time, which I both record on two separate tracks in my DAW so I can later use an amp sim plugin on the direct signal if I want to.
Is the direct signal from the interface basically the same type of signal a DI box would get me or would using a DI box for recording a direct guitar signal be better for the purpose of recording a direct guitar signal to use for re-amping or using guitar amp plugins?
thanks!
