Because I could.

SSO Bingo.PNG

While it would be utterly impossible to include everything that makes this place... this place, I figure that I've managed to include a decent amount of popular elements of SSO, both current and historic.

Enjoy.

I did pick up on the fact that the 3rd row is probably the easiest by far. I was trying to arrange things were I'd only have one of any like-thing per row and per column (e.g. one quote, one popular brand, one thing-to-do-with-wood), kinda setting it up like Sudoku. Then I realized I painted myself into a corner but couldn't figure out how to fix it.

In hindsight, "SeXXXiverse" and "Sup, Donnie?" might be a liiiiittle too obscure.

Those ones are beyond me for sure.
Really? You go back even further than me, I figured you'd recognize them.

Fear not though, the post above yours contains the revised version (now that I've finished editing it for the umteenth time).

Not a single "check out my mix test" for shame.
C'mon man, there's already one free square. I can't make it TOO easy.

Also, for the uninitiated, the SeXXXiverse was a custom Ibanez build done primarily by both Sims Custom Shop and Chris Woods (you'll notice that both their names are on the luthier shit-list tile) for Shannon. It lived up to it's name not only by being a very attractive guitar (in its day, the aesthetic hasn't necessarily aged well), but also by making the rounds of the ERG community like a cheap London whore.

Nice one! a couple of ideas:

"Recommend me a super expensive CS-guitar, because I am a noob that have no idea what I am doing, but my parents got money!" <- those threads are rare, but they are a lot of fun

"Just get a set of Black Winters"

Also "crystal lattice harmonic resonance convolution reverb" would basicly be a "phonon convolution reverb"? And how does that work :D

Oh they certainly are, but they're also often posted by the uninitiated, and not by those in the snooty SSO establishment bourgeoisie. ;)

My understanding of quantum mechanics, carefully informed by multiple viewings of the Futurama episode "Time Keeps on Slippin'," is that you can change the result of a process by measuring it. In this case, calling it "phonon convolution reverb" instead of "crystal lattice harmonic resonance convolution reverb" changes the nature of it by making it substantially less awesome at the most quantum level.

EDIT: I had to sig "Snooty SSO Establishment Bourgeoisie." It called to me.

Right, I agree your naming is a lot better, but where does that item in the BINGO come from? it isn't something I have encountered on SSO, so I just wondered, since it almost makes sense to make a reverb based on phonon modes in crystal lattice structuces, though not entirely.

I think we could tighten some of these up. I mean, BKPs is really like... "Can anyone tell me what BKPs would be best for a guitar with a maple neck?" and blackmachine is really, "Blackmachines? Are they really worth $125k?"

Enough goes on sometimes that I don't always follow everything. And there was a big gap of a few years where I didn't visit here at all. And I don't think I ever used any of the chatrooms.

If I was going to add anything, it would be a "New to recording, what gear do I need?" tile. Seems like sometimes there's a new thread like that per week.

How do you play this bingo? Do you mark the space when you've seen a thread/comment that matches? Or when you interact with one?
