Here's something I've wondered about for a while.
I've recently started playing some really fast Kreator songs and due to the speed/technicality, I've wondered if it is true that some pickups track the low end faster?
For example, BKP Aftermaths, ceramic magnet pickups, are said to have an "accelerated bass response" (company website) and Matt Heafy from Trivium said that the Fishmans are better for low end (or something like that).
I honestly always thought that low end response and the quickness of the attack was due mostly to the guitar construction, i.e. a Tele being much faster than a Les Paul.
Also, do Tubescreamers help with that? Do they make the response quicker?
