This is a fair comparison, with regards to their playing. What I especially like is the production is not only crisp, but sounds very natural and powerful. At times reminding me of viking-era Bathory, at one moment sounding just like Sleep, capturing some of the order/chaos of Sumac. Such a dynamic and well-ranged album on so many levels.

I just happened to have this album on my own queue already, I'm about halfway through and liking it very much. The drums at the end of "Howling Lands" are awing, the transition of "Stillness" is momentous, "The Atavist's Meridian" is massive... can't wait to finish and listen again! The LP looks real nice too.

I've been jamming this all weekend. Music is great and the atmosphere is awesome! That goddamn kick drum sound is irritating AF, though, lol.

Their first album was a bit of a miss for me, but I'm loving this new one. Brutal and beautiful, the Neurosis x Morbid Angel comparison is apt.

Still eagerly anticipating my pre-order......

Inter Arma blew me away when I discovered them around the Cavern. Paradise Gallows was my personal Album of the Year for 2016 and I have no doubt that Sulphur English will be for 2019. The above description is quite accurate haha. I've been streaming the Youtube Album steadily and absolutely love this album.
