    The frets in the upper register actually hang off the side of the fretboard on the high e string side. This made the high e string catch under the frets when I played forcefully- Not cool! The tape is just a quick fix, but the string slides up now instead of getting caught under the frets...

    The thing about swirls is they're all different. I think that's why I'm drawn to them so much. I really dig some of the swirled strats on that link, but about half of them just look poorly done. The Telecaster that jeleopard linked is down right gorgeous though.
