I saw your post on fretboard visualization. Normally I'd just post a reply - but I've posted a lot of repeat material on the site and it gets to be too much retread for some people.
I tend to view the fretboard as a series of interlocking 2-string patterns. If you go here:
Blueprints – or what you’ll find here « Guitarchitecture.org
and just scroll down to The Guitar Lessons-Practicing-Tips section - there's a bunch of free lesson on visualization you may want to start with the Guide to modes part 1 or 2. But that'll at least explain what I'm doing.
It may or may not work for you. But it's what I use.
