Just picked one of the Shredzillas up. I wish I could get a hardtail in this finish with black binding and not abalone city, but damn it is a killer guitar, plays and sounds fantastic.

    2022 tube supply

Nice that you got those 6P14P cheap, even those are creeping up in price now. Great tubes, I have a dozen or so matched quads and 20 matched pairs and haven't used any other EL84 in my studio amps for over 10 years. Maybe a set of Sylvania black plates a few times, but they ended up in a...

    2022 tube supply

I see them and Amperex quads going at auction regularly for $700 to $800. Who knows what kind of condition they all are electrically though. None of these sellers ever test their tubes for plate resistance Gm and other relevant data at operating voltages and utilizing a curve tracer. Is it...

What in the ever loving f***? That's what you would pay for a quad of actual vintage GEC EL34. What a pos.

Yeah it hurts. Original cones too. When I pack speakers, I cut out thick cardboard in the shape of the baskets, and poke holes through matching each mounting point. Then twist tie or zip tie the cardboard to each basket, put at least 3" of good thick bubble on the bottom of the box, lay the...

I just attempted to fit the good speaker in my Rocket 4Forty, it's a no go. Magnet on top hits the power transformer, and the bottom doesn't have enough depth for the basket rim to allow the holes to line up with the bolts. I expected at least two to fit in there and was going to run a pair of...

Yeah this one wasn't UPS, who for sure dropped that box and threw it around. They are pretty brutal to packages. But the seller put one piece of thin cardboard between the speakers, so the top speaker's cone bashed itself against the bottom speaker's magnet. Knew it wouldn't be pretty when I...

Thanks for the link. No idea about the quality nor have I ever installed one either, but at this point $80 is a small investment. I've heard it's not a very simple task, I've restored vintage amplifiers many times though might be good to learn.

Yeah there were photos, but he said he had a second pair that was damaged, so it makes me wonder if he took photos of the good pair and sent a bad one, but the eBay market place is totally biased towards buyers, there is no situation in which I wasn't getting refunded one way or another so idk...

I'm good my man, a lot of memory, but those are bookmarks anyway. I have 70 tabs open right now, using 35% memory with a full suite of Microsoft office apps, a movie, and Escape From Tarkov open. I run a business from home. Server, 5 computers on network, etc. Thanks for the concern though...

Those are bookmarks, and I don't use Firefox anymore for the memory usage, but this PC has 64GB of ram and an AMD 5950X lol. I can keep virtually unlimited tabs open, play Escape From Tarkov, live stream, and record on any DAW simultaneously :)
