I feel you. I live in Spain. I bought some AliExpress locking tuners for a 2+4 headstock on a warlock i'm building. Hope they are ok. The monkey tuners seem to be a good alternative
Yup. That's why i bought a 7420 back in 2000 and not a 7620. The difference were pickups-dimarzio blaze on the 7620, V8-7 on the 7420 and the trem. I don't use trems, and only the bridge pickup, so i bought the 7420 and a dimarzio blaze bridge pickup.
The neck on my guitar was stamped 7620 but...
does it have to be fiebings? About 17 years ago i tried leather dye ( not Fiebings, as i lived in Venezuela) and i wasn't plased with the results, it just made my ebony fretboard look plasticy ( which i wanted to look extra black) and the coating was easily removed by just sanding the fretboard...
Ed Roman was a counterfeiter of mainly BC Rich guitars. I learned a lot by reading his website about guitar building and stuff, but he was not a very honorable person.
sorry to necro bump this but i am really interested in a guitar with a hideous jatoba fretboard. If it was rosewood, i wouldn't mind at all, but this jatoba, even if it's roasted, as they advertise, it's fugly.
I know the methods described previously work like a charm for rosewood, now, what...
nope, any v tailpiece won't do it. Talk to the guy who owns fretsonthenet.com he builds custom parts for jackson guitars and have economy plastic pieces, but he is not expensive at all, and he is quality
Yes, i do believe those tuners are really good. Last year, Musiclily sent me a set of locking tuners and i think they are as good as anything by grover or gotoh. Maybe not sperzel, but i think they are pretty good, specially for the price.
Same with those guyker bridges, they weight just as...
that one looks good man! i see you're using chinese hardware, i think those locking tuners are decent, as good as gotoh or grover. Is the bridge a hipshot copy as well? I bought a couple of those :)
yeah i thought and still am thinking on building my own 2x12 cab. But the plywood alone would cost me around 70 uros here in Spain.
I want birch plywood, 18mm, just like in all quality cabs. Then the tolex would cost me around 80 euros, plus what the grill cloth costs, another 25 euros...
i would have just plugged the hole, glue a veneer on the whole guitar face to hide that the volume hole has been plugged, drill volume hole in the correct position, refinish the whole guitar...
