Some amazing songs, and some confusing ones. As with all Dream Theater records, I find that repeated listenings help me enjoy their compositions more.
For example, I was pretty apprehensive towards the title track at first, but after listening to it a few more times, I'm starting to enjoy it...
Does potential future release count? Because I'm been waiting for an Ibanez S 7-string with trem and no pickup rings for half a decade now. :lol::lol::lol:
I thought Petrucci did a pretty good job with the 8-string, considering he did basically the same thing when he first recorded with the 7-string. :lol:
I have the same guitar, and it's certified awesome, indeed! I love the S shape so much, but Ibanez is reducing the 7-string option on this line year after year... :noplease::shrug:

Ditto for Agile. My first 8-string guitar is a used Interceptor 828 I picked up for $400 about 7-8 years ago, and the quality is decent. The neck has a slighty thicker profile than the Ibby's, and the body has some weight to it, being Mahogany and all. The 28" scale length does make bending the...
