SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... how is it?! Brazzy neck on there all you thought it could be? I had a McCarty Rosewood a few years back and STILL kick myself for selling it. A price one just popped up but I lacked the funding to snag it, bet I'll be kicking myself for that one too! Tempted to see if I can get ahold of the seller and work something out....

Yeah that seems to be the way of the dedicated luthier. Hopefully he'll take it easy so he can get back up to 100% but I doubt he'll take his time getting back into the shop! I'm getting ready to perform some surgery on my Holdsworth FB2, stay tuned for some pics (maybe this weekend if I get done and the lighting is decent).

Back from the dead in Friends & Family Forum

Ron's going to be out for a little while, figured something might have been up as he's been hard to get ahold of and usually he gets back to me quickly. Hoping he has a full recovery soon but knowing Ron he'll be pushing to get back to work sooner than later.

Oh believe me I have no doubt that's all it is... just have 1-year old GAS built up for this puppy so I can't wait to see it in guitar-shaped form! EXCITING times!

Also still no updates from Ron. Matt is a sad panda. I noticed in a post he made on TGP that the build times are now 18 weeks and IIRC back when I ordered they were like 12 so I guess I still have more time left to wait than I thought. D'OH!

Wow, that's eerily similar to what happened with mine! Same delays, same result (was in "paint" twice and was actually being rebuilt ) and eventually I had to get rid of it because looking at it reminded me of the whole deal. I still want to order another one (and your FBJ finish isn't helping things haha) but dealing with them is so hit or miss that I'm actually afraid to see how much worse they COULD make it!

So out of curiosity what did Carvin mess up on that sexy 7? I hear ya there though, they messed up a few items on my old Dragonburst and although I really liked that guitar over time the screwups ate at me and I moved it on. I have another Carvin incoming today but it's not something I ordered new so at least I know it's not messed up....
