Hey guys, I finally got a semi decent recording.
Guitar is a Telecaster tuned to Drop A played in the neck pickup through an Omega Granophyre Neural DSP plugin. Bass is an Ibanez Gio biamped through the Granophyre plugin and a GK Amplification 2LE plugin. Drums are Steven Slate Free pack...
I would buy an all tube marshall modeller floorboard (with accompanying 8x12).
That said, I'ma pass this on to my buddy who's a rap producer. This seems cool.
Sweet guitar! Also, is that wolfie? Holy shit, he's way way better than he used to be. Actually has some command now (... and I kinda wanna see him do a school of rock reboot).
You know what your problem is? Your initial post is incredibly unclear about what you actually want. Instead of saying: “I want a 2x12. Help me pick.” You said: “I want liquid leads, and my Engl 4x12 doesn’t do it, also my cab is too loud, and also something about a Hesu.”
People’s natural...
I was just thinking of things you might try before you make major changes. Small changes before big ones, you know?
Sounds like you just want a different cab, or different speakers, which is a reasonable thing to want. Good luck to you. With your captor, you can try out different IR’s to find...
Other things to try, where are you picking on your lead lines? Maybe pick more towards the neck? Check your pick angle, and maybe try a different pick thickness/material. When you have nice gear already, chances are how you sound is how you sound, not the gear.
edit: also, which pickup are you...
Yeah. I have. I’ve craved a single channel amp with lots of dynamics for years, one that actually cleans up when you roll back the volume knob or pull back with the right hand, but still squeals and djents (DEI djent not Obzen djent) and blues up when you want it to.
Playing a swamp ash tele...
Dude just own it and start a band named thundercock (about a rooster who can summon thunder of course). Actually, I'll join you, as it sounds like fun.
Congrats on the NAD.
What sounds are you getting now? Have you tried using the neck pickup instead of the bridge? Post a recording if you can.
Honestly, if you want humbucker tone, use a humbucker. But... as a dude who uses a tele for heavy stuff, I do so because I prefer it. Much better dynamics. More human...
