Thanks for the inputs. I have always just used Ibanez replacement parts. I find the SD schematics hard to follow using the ibby switches so maybe need to look for alternates.
I am looking at swapping out a set of active pickups from a RG5121 to passive. By that I mean the stock Fishman Fluence to Seymour Duncan Black WInters.
I have done complete referb's of passive before, but just wanted to see if there is anything I should look out for before considering doing...
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Ibanez RG7421 in pewter grey. Overall very good condition with some decent scratches. The back has the most issues as seen in the pictures. Some standard corosion on the hardware. Frets are still 85% good and the neck is straight. I owe Rich some...
Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Brand new K720th for sale. I check it when I purchased to make sure everything work. Other than that, these pictures are the first time this one has seen daylight since I bought it.
Modifications (if any): None
Accessories (hardshell case etc)...
A bit off topic but related. If the K720th was offered would you buy? I have three and thinking of letting one go. Wouldn't be until the new year, just planning ahead.
Here is the Kollection...I put them in order of issuance. K7, APEX1, APEX200, APEX30, K720. Added the Universe for good measure. The other APEX models are ones I didn't care for much, maybe the APEX100. I think this is good enough.
I like it about the same as the PAF-7. I think there are some similarities, however those are the only two 7-String pickups I have used. The only exception are the black winters I just put in on one of the K7s about two weeks ago. That's about all I can say for comparisons.
NDG for me, not the guitar. APEX200. Saw Munky play this last year live and have wanted one since. Until the new model comes out this should just about complete my Korn sig guitars.
Odd story, this one was originally sold by Rich as the NAMM '18 display. When I saw the SN I thought it looked...
Just had one from Canada come in, UPS called and told the seller the value was too low!! WTF? Showed 1K CAD on the invoice and they wouldn't accept the amount.
I was able to pick up one of the grey ones off the seller. I have the full pic set and the one I received shows all but Head signing. I have tried a few times to get him to sell more but no go for now. Pic below.
Seems all too confusing. If I have to pay I'll pay. I just think its odd UPS is the ONLY carrier I this happens with. DHL/FedEx no issues, even USPS when handed off to!
