Might be a minority opinion here; but i prefer Caparisons in general (specifically early TAT models, and TAT special) than the 2 Regius (2010 & 2012 models) I've owned.
Just find the Regius very uncomfortable to play (due to the flat / radius top profile) and frequently out of tune.
Was so looking forward to see what's on offer with their custom line, only to be underwhelmed.
It's technically a 'custom-select'; with only two body styles to choose from.
Hopefully they'll have more body styles on offer in the future; but i can only see their neck thru versions will cost...
Always preferred skid row to GnR back then. Skid Row was more of a 'fun' sing-along record. When Slave first came out, i was so disappointed as it sounded nothing like their debut. But like the good old days, you're stuck with the tape, and just kept listening to it and finally clicked. It's now...
So, finally had the time to re-finish this little workhorse.
Now loaded with BKP warpig set; LED ironage killswitch (floyd cavity as battery compartment lol) and replaced the OFR with a Kahler Hybrid Pro (closer string spacing) that solves the 'narrow' fretboard issue that came with the guitar...
No worries; my first USA bolt-on so just curious.
Saddles from Aliexpress; marketed as titanium 'alloy' - assuming it's some low grade metal composite. Does feel / sound pretty good.
Modded the DK1 with a pair of Blackhawks; EMG AB booster replacing the tone knob; ebony tuners and titanium alloy saddles.
Not sure what the number in the bridge pickup cavity represents?
