    25.5 works for me. I tune to B and Bb with 56-60string gauge, to A with 60-70 and to G with 70-80. For Gb, F and E, I use 80 with 26.5

    Hello, I upgraded my budget LTD Eclipse 8 string with an EMG 81-8 and premium 8 string locking tuners which can handle 0.80 and even 0.90 string gauge on 7th and 8th string, rest 0.70. (GUITAR MONKEY from Germany). I think that could be interesting for you. They ship worldwide, I think. Also...

    Esp ltd EC 407 or TE 407/417 sound and feel really good, too. They also offer good 7 string options in the Black Metal series: a Viper and for 2020 a M 7 with hipshot bridge. And some great 7 strings in their 1000 deluxe series... Used ones that are very interesting are the Carpenter and Wade...

    Get the ibanez 6 string 28' baritone for E. You don't have to relearn anything and start riffing in super low... Plus you have emg 81 active.
