It's just Logic, we set the backing tracks up to play as you normally have tracks and parts in Logic, arranged how you like, and we also have a MIDI output track (just a track where MIDI information is sent out through whatever MIDI interface is connected instead of controlling software instruments and sounds) and on the hyper editor of this we change the patches using the "Program" editor.
This might make no sense, if you hook up your Axe FX to a computer via MIDI with a DAW and mess around with a MIDI output track, sooner or later you will figure it out.
