    I've been doing the same with the Shadow model. On sale it wasn't much more expensive than a minimum spec multiscale 8 string anyway. I'd have been tempted if the website page wasn't broken.

    I've got one of the QX series in six string and despite the fact I've no idea what any of the controls do, it's so nice to play. I do wonder if I'd get more mileage from the controls if I swapped it all out for some Fishmans but it sounds pretty good as it is. GASing real hard for that new pale...

    Oh that's perfect thank you. I'll wait a bit then! Black limba, I'm not 100% committed to, I just like the look of it. I've got a non-chambered black limba Vader already which is relatively heavy for a headless guitar but not too bad still. So I'll just see what deals there are probably.

    I agree but I don't understand how pickup rings make these more affordable. Is it cheaper to manufacture? Can theu do a sloppier job on routing because the rings hide it, which costs less?
