That's good to hear. Steph's family live in Fielding so Wellington is only like an hour's drive away. I visited NZ for a month a few years ago and completely fell in love with it. If there's a metal scene a few miles drive from where we'll be living then all's the better!

The UK is a sinking ship now in my opinion, i want nothing more than to find myself something i'm good at, emigrate, get citizenship and pay my taxes into NZ instead of funding the scum that live over here.

Hey bro! Auckland Auckland gets most of the attention in terms of regular tours, and they are mostly off the back of australian tour curcuits, end of year is usually pretty chokka with shows due to soundwave/big day out side shows etc.

Metalwise, you're best bet is Auckland or Wellington. Wellington is the capital and has quite a cool vibe to it, if you're into cafes, coffee, metal, studying etc. I love Auckland though, NZs a beautiful place and it's really 'what you make of it' so to speak. Great beaches are only a half hour drive away and NZ is small enough that most touristy places are only 3-4 hours drive from Auckland.

The live music scene here is good there is a great variety of bands playing, probably not as often as a larger american/english town but there's enough to keep me happy at least
