The biggest cost is elbow grease! It just takes a long time to get all the paint and sealer off. Preparation is key - learn what you can and have patience. This one took me weeks to do right!

Hey welcome to the forum! Thanks for noticing my modded guitar- I'm very proud of it. I used the same technique on my Squier- you can search that one. I basically stripped the finish and then lightly burned the wood with a propane torch. LIGHTLY is the key! Then I stained over that and finished with many many coats of tung oil. Voila!
