I actually installed the beam blockers when I had a Mesa Dual Rectifier and have kept meaning to remove them to see what the cab's like in it's original form! The blockers helped the Mesa, but can also cause massive problems if you want to mic the cab for recording (45 degree at centre of cone method).
As I'm a noise elimination fan (although only with my old NS-2) I'd personally go for the ISP, if it's a Decimator that you're looking at! That's just me...
