guitar amps are the lepou plugins, with a mesa boogie IR after it - and all sorts of EQs and compressors, of course. ;)
we simply did not have any real amps at the time, and we're also both of the digital generation, so using plugins kinda just made sense. and yes, we like to use less gain...
Yeah in terms of guitars, we recorded nearly everything on a standard Ibanez S7521QM(a lot of the rhythm guitars) and a Marty Siggery 7-string with Bareknuckles(Solos). Bass is a Tobias bass, not sure which model, have had it for a long time.
Guitars are Tuned to drop A mostly, except for...
Hmmm I think it really depends. I think there are certain scenarios where creative teamwork can work out, if there is the right trust and exact alignment on what everyone's strengths are.
That being said, I do believe that a strong creative vision has to, usually, come from one individual. Many...
Hey man,
Sounds good, great playing! I actually think the low end "problem" is rather that all of your bass is a little too low and sitting together. Usually, you wanna have your bassguitar frequencies for this kind of stuff sit above the kickdrum, which has its thick bass freqs around 40-70hz...
Hey guys,
Just got my PRS today(Customs ripped open the package like a bunch of lunatics...), and since there isn't really good pictures of the spalted maple finish of this guitar out there, I thought I might post some...

Hey man,
I'd be very interested in the 7 string model if you guys were to offer some more natural / spalted maple finishes, is this something that would be possible? Basically, I love my guitars if they look like they look like someone just chopped that out of a tree and just threw on some...
the ath-m50s are, in my opinion, the best thing you can get in that price range, by far. both for listening and recording i think they are great.
they isolate pretty well, and they are comfortable - after several hours, they start to feel somewhat tight though, but nothing that cant get fixed...
Usually, the H-Comp from the Waves Gold bundle that I use helps a lot there, it has a "Punch" knob that, if used sparingly, can give some great punch. Cranking that from 0 to 3 or so already gives a way more intense "crack" transient.
If you don't use Waves, try messing with parallel...
hey dude,
here some first impressions, just personal thoughts on headphones:
- The vocal track is great!
- Gain Guitars sound a little "canny", I'd mess with another cab simulation / IR, right now the cab sounds a little more "british" than what you're looking for, you need the big American...
Hey man,
sounds great, guitar sound is solid. Only points of feedback I'd have (they are minor ones):
- I think the kick could be a little more scooped in the mid freq range. Right now, its mid range presence I would say is more common in death/black metal genres with more blastbeats and more...
