In case anyone visited the "Dynamic high gain preamp" post and took it to mean the Vypyr doesn't have much dynamics, I will provide this small update of no consequence. I now use it at normal volumes (i.e. little to no power amp distortion) with the pre-gain at about half on the Diezel red channel, which works perfectly for dynamics (at least for what I do) and volume knob cleans. It sounds much better now, and at more reasonable volumes.
