I'd assume the pre-prestige Ibanez are probably my best bet but are there any other options? I don't care about the specs really, although a multipiece neck and a hardtail would be nice.

I've seen RG752s sell for as low as $700. How low are you looking? I know the RG7420 MIJ ones sell for around $400.

RG7620 or RG7420 would be the cheapest.
RG752's are getting cheap now though, especially the early ones.

7421s seem like they're plentiful at the +/-$500 mark.
Bear in mind too that they're all like 20 years old now as well.

The absolute cheapest would be an AX7521. Guitar center might have a few right now for under $300. IMO most people try to over charge on most MIJ Ibanez'...I've seen some price them in the $800-900 range even though Guitar Center regularly lists RG7620's 7420's, and others for $400-500
