So, I finally found those photos, well, i knew where they were, was having problems with the server (it migrated for a new one and now have different rules to work as expected). On with the fotos, a bit old but the cabs remain the same.

The Baffle is screwed and can be removed. I also have some covers for the back but have never installed them. These cabs sound great as are, so why change?
They're pretty deep!

Oh also are you building them because you want to build them or to save money? Because the seismic 112 cabs are stupid cheap and rock solid. I think when I priced them out it was about the same cost as building one.
I like building stuff anyway, also I'm in the UK. But they look cool man!

All good so far. Has anyone got any ideas for covering that don't involve expensive tolex? Currently considering black stain & danish oil...

You can get roll on or spray on truck bed liner. I used that on the Kemper headshell I built and it’s held up perfectly for 4+ years now.

You can often get vinyl leatherette at discount fabric/upholstery shops for a pittance... also, if you're gentle with it and/or don't plan to transport it much, you can probably get away with a heavier grade of vinyl wrap

As I recall, if you mis-represent yourself as a a designer/company (no freebies for private individuals --- just use your home address and call yourself InsertName Designs or something on the form), you can get 3M to send you 2 huge rolls of sample 3M 1080 vinyl wrap from whatever surplus they currently have on hand, as well as a sampler-card-thingie of all the existing patterns... fully free of charge.

At least that's how it was in America a couple years back... it's online somewhere google it
