New single dropped today (they were playing it yesterday on Liquid Metal). The first new music out of them with Jason on it. Still sounds like ATR.

Was gonna call bullshit, this sounds nothing like ATR. Then I remembered the only album I've liked from these guys came out 18 years ago, and this totally sounds like some of their most recent stuff.

The riffs never get a chance to just stick it. Theirs always a different harmonization going on, or the other instruments are playing along like it's an intro riff. Gonna give it a couple more spins, because it's definitely more interesting then the stuff they've been putting out, but man. Nothing they've put out has scratched that fall of ideals itch.

This Darkened Heart is still one of my favorite albums. This single is better than the last album I heard from them by miles, still a little too repetitive or one dimensional though.

It’s eh. I liked a few songs on the last album, but you can really tell Oli’s touch is missing. I won’t be itching to relisten but I’ll check out the other new stuff when it comes out.

Surprise to see a new album out. A few months ago I was watching different podcasts and saw one of the guys and thought to myself...that looks and sounds like the lead singer of all that remains...sure enough it was.

I thought it was a pretty good song. Lots of Jason flavor in there, but the heart of it is still very much ATR. I'll be keen to check out the full album once it's out :metal:

Kinda happy for new JR riffs with vocals since the two songs with vocals we're my favorite on his debut album but on first listen this song seems to be all around the place. Chorus was kinda cool, a bit buttrock-y but that's how ATR has always been.

I can't un-hear that now. I think the problem is the constant vocals instead of letting the music breathe a little more, like the song had a minute cut out.

I've been hoping Jason would join another band. I find virtuoso guitarists really shine when they are more restrained like Loomis in Nevermore or Marty in Megadeth. It's got his style all over it but in more of a metalcore setting, that drummer is absolutely killer and there are so many nods to earlier songs. Looking forward to the album.

Fall of Ideals was too high a bar to set that early. And without Oli this just sounds like Jason beating hiumself off over the rest of the band. Don'tget me wrong, the dude can clearly play like a motherfucker. But just because you have a Ferrarri doesn't mean you need to drive 100 mph when you're going to the grocery store or taking the kids to school. Theres a time and a place man....and I just don't think Jason understands that.

His playing is way too busy, a riff or two would have been nice. It’s like ATR featuring Jason Richardson on “Stunt Guitar”. Though I don’t think anyone could save that band… This Darkened Heart and The Fall of Ideals were awesome, it’s been a steady decline since then.

This song was fire for me. I went out ot expect a tacky snoozefest and I got a superbly produced, ass-slapping metalcore tune with a great chorus. Yeah, call it "butt-rocky" but I fucking loved it.
