I'm pondering changing my 8 string tuning - and wondered if anyone has tried this on their 8.... The B,E,A,D,G,B is to become C# standard - so C# F# B E G# C# This leaves the F# and E up for grabs. Any ideas? *the sky's the limit really* I guess I can tune the F# to G# and take it from...
Iv'e now got the recommended guage of strings from Rondo's page on my Agile - and I have to say - they feel rather spongy on the B, E and A strings respectively - even with the action brought up to compensate. I also hit the strings pretty hard so the B and E are bouncing off the frets causing a...
Interesting, both the Jackson which I own, and Gibson Les Paul which I did have angled 'stocks - never heard the tones before... But, with a sixer I was able to mute all the strings with my palm. Guess that's another issue. It's all cool though, just like understanding how things happen.
I have to say after only a week of my 8 string - going back to my Jackson feels like a kids toy. Not in a bad way, or less manly one - just different. And it's very interesting that this was the 'norm' for a long time. Sure, I had a Schecter 7 from 2000-2006 which fell from grace - but jumping...
It's no biggie. But I'm foaming @ the nut with my Agile :P. I guess because of the extra scale length or even resonance from the peddling the low B / F# - you get some sympathetic string resonance. Popping some foam behind the nut solves this no problem. I see quite a few players - Keith...
I have to say, after only a week of having my Agile Pro 8 - I absolutely adore it. It's currently in the shop having a proper setup and the tuning peg bored out to fit the low .72 on F# - so I'm playing my Jackson DK2 which feels like a kids toy. The only issue I can 'feel' so far with extended...
Happy to be a Mule Boy. The only other sucky option I can think of is having to fork out for a Ernie Ball Baritone Set - which has a low .72 - it's by no means cheap, but as most shops only seem to cater single strings up to .58 it's the only other solution I can think of.
Please excuse the crappy quality of pics! And apologies for the lighting. If anyone really wants a few daylight pics I can sort some out on the Weekend. I'm absolutely loving the Bloodburst - even though it's down to a 7 string until the Grover gets drilled out to fit the 0.72. Neck through...
**NOW UPDATED WITH PICS FURTHER DOWN!** Well, it arrived yesterday. I couldn't wait for Fedex to deliver it in Monday, so when I saw it was in my local depot on Saturday I took a ride and picked it up. Unfortunately, work commitments meant I was not able to plug it in until today...
Result! Got an email from Kurt, advising that the model in question when inspected is actually a Dual Pro model - with the Cepheus Pickups. He's more than happy to let me have it at the same price as the single EMG Pro - so I snapped it up. Am more than happy with this. The Rondo service is...
Well, 1/2 hour after placing the order it's ready to ship! Also, I went to the Rondo Site to show my buddy some pics and Bloodburst has gone for Southpaw's - so I must have nabbed the last one! Anyone know if this will be the second run of 8's or later? *on the case for strings - will try...
Hey all, Being a musical ignoramus, I'm looking for some midi polyrhythm drum examples I can run in Ezdrummer. From my learning perspective, I find being able to export it to my DAW and see it laid out helps me remember patterns and examples. If anyone can point me in the right direction...
The order has been placed! Bloodburst Pro 828 model and Case...just got to play the waiting game now - dammit. Plumped for EMG's and neck-through as not had either before - all my old guitars are passive's with set or bolt-on necks. I know EMG's don't get too much love around here, but...
Hey All, I'm just about to order a Lefty Agile Intrepid Pro 828 (BloodBurst) and just wanted to check about details for shipping to the UK. Now, I know the price using the Shopping Cart online, then I just add on 3.7% Tax and 15% VAT for here in the UK. When I place the order, this...
