I loved SOTU last year. It was easily the best festival I've ever been too. Cheap Merch, rare cds that were also cheap, amazing meet and greets, and cool bands. There slogan is "Hardcore and Metal Will Rise Again". Seeing so many hxc kids headbanging to Behemoth made me smile. It felt good...

I like how the one guy just kinda took the lead sometimes during those long ones. They'd all be "OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH" and then he'd take like a solo and go, "OOOOOOOOOOOOOIEIEIEIOEIAAAAAAOOOOOOOOO!"

Wikipedia the album and check out some of the non-musical parts of the album. He's trying to do more than just music with this. He rigged this album with random twists using websites that were set up really well.

Everytime I play a fast fill on an electonic kit in Sam Ash I feel like a cheater. The rebound difference is immense.

Meh I thought Hetfield did okay. It could have been worse considering how bad he was 3 years ago. The vids I've seen of him live last year are a vast improvement IMO.

Terria and Synchestra are my favorites from Devy but I love all of it. His next project, Ziltoid the Omniscent, is in the works. Can't wait.

In something like brutal death metal where the bass is usually 16ths at around 200+ bpms, the bass usually can't cut through and it sounds quiet and muffled. You lose your dynamic ability, but in this case triggers are worth it. You need that rapid fire bass to cut through.

Naw it's part of a tribute album for the guy who wrote the song.

IMO the new songs they played live are promising.

I've only touched sixes when my guitar players need help writing songs (cause they are lame and wont try 7s :/). I've pretty much moved completely to 7s. Selling my 6s soon to probably get some pickups for my 7s.
