i too dislike how EMG's seem to have become the standard in every guitar. I think manufacturers are doing this to band-aid an otherwise lifeless sounding/constructed guitar because EMG's sound the same in every guitar they go on.

i actually own a stiletto 4x12 and i like it alot. I think it definitely depends on what amp you decide to use with it, but its definitely a tighter sounding cab than the oversized rectos. Im not sure i agree with it being "brighter". Ive used mine with a splawn nitro and a peavey 6534+ and...

the 3 way toggle switch (the black one) lets you choose between magnetic only/ magnetic-piezo combined/ or piezo only the silver toggle basically just turns the piezo on and off...like a master on/off switch.
