WOW! Rocktron's come out with some cool stuff since I last checked!

Holy crap...I'm feeling some severe gearlust towards that pedal. I wonder how it would hold up to my PODxt?? D:

What are you hoping to get for Xmas?

I'm not too fussed. I'm older and grumpier and getting over materialism. To a degree :P However, I'm pretty sure I have some nice 8-bit nostalgia coming my way :D

Mixers are one of the few things Behringer does well. I say go for it ;D

Bulb Covers Meshuggah's "Glints Collide" Whee!!

I had the soundclick player running in the backround. I opened it up, and I shit you not, the song was at 3:33 :P But enough of that. Excellent as always bulb :)

Guitars you regret getting rid of

Wilkinson for the win. One of the few good pieces of equipment that came installed on my cheap Aria :P I've been down the pickup routing road before, and it blows. Especially when it's your first time doing it and you don't set up a jig to do it :P. 7620 would be killer :). I'm doing the...

Does anyone else get the feeling that you have to "Justify" using a 7 string?

This is really interesting. Over here in Australia (well, Perth at least), there is nothing but 7 string tolerance. There are more and more local bands playing 7 strings, making this whole issue a moot point.

Guitars you regret getting rid of

Eek, a neck-through. I don't envy you. Stripping the paint from that would sure be a hassle!! I've been making more leeway on my Aria superstrat today...however, with clear lacquer layered on around half a centimetre thick, I've decided I'm going to go for a grungy finish because there is no...

Guitars you regret getting rid of

I'm in the same boat as Karl. I've not sold any guitars, but quite literally every one of them is a beater. I could probably sell all of them and end up with enough cash to buy a nice guitar, but I'm too attached to them ^_____^ I like rescuing oddball guitars from pawnshops and then...

    FT: '91 RG570 - FOR - Any RG7 possibly??

How can you be using it if the pickups aren't wired up??? :/

    Recording Issue

Get hold of a more directional mic (such as the SM-57...though I'm not sure how well that would fare for a bass amp) or isolate the cabinet. When I was sitting in on some recording sessions last year, to get max volume from the guitarists amps without bothering the neighbours too much (and...

    My Ibanez RX170...

To be incredibly honest, I'm not really concerned if I discover my guitars are made out of plywood. I guess I am the lord of cheap pawnshop guitars though :P But seriously, if it sounds cool with distortion layered on, then it doesn't really matter :). I stripped back my Cimar Star to find that...

    UV STRING GAUGE

I'm going to write a small C program that allows the members here who do the "work" thing to convert all caps into lowercase text :D I probably won't, maybe after exams :P

So I put 6L6's in my Laney...

I love 6L6 tubes, for the mere fact that EL34's just look anemic compared side by side :P

    Rad little project :)

Hahaha, cheers bro! :D I ran it through the home stereo system with two subs and nearly killed it. Back to the drawing board. Pretty sure my current setup is attenuating the lows and highs, which would expain the distinct lack of djent. I think the next purchase on my list is a set of new...

    Rad little project :)

Yesterday, my buddy Ryan dropped around and we were doing some pre-production work for his EP that I might eventually be recording, which would be cool, because it would be my first time flying solo on a recording that isn't mine. I've done some work on records before, but with another dude (who...
