I think Tele's are pretty good for metal ;D. Not so much from an aesthetic standpoint, but god, you can get a meaty sound out of one. For my first build, I want to make the worst guitar ever. First I was thinking a Parker body, but nah, fuck it. Tele all the way. With 7 strings. And a compound...

I was quite enjoying my little sisters Tele ripoff last night. It sounded surprisingly brutal for a $130 guitar with cheap single coils :P I think I kind of want one :/

Tis true...a 7 is indeed a 7. I've got some reasonably big plans for the HB...the neck and body are actually quite OK (apart from the horrific cavity routing), so I'm essentially going to replace the pickups (I'm just going to go for one bucker at the bridge...no farting around with neck pups...
