There are several points to deal with to find the best combination (notably, it's a personal choice). 1" for an 7 stringed fanned fret guitar is a good choice if you do complex chords. It stay playable at the top and the bottom of your neck. If you put the perpendicular fret at the first you...
600 grit is enough! You will see no big difference above 600 grit (or 800 grit if you want). This wood is porus and the grain is less straight than ebony. If you had some Tru Oil or lemon oil you'll have a very good feeling, very smooth !!
- I always change the PU or at least the bridge PU. - Change the string for light/regular (for standard 6 strings) and heavy bottom for 7 strings - Check up of the whole guitar (neck, frets...) - I oil the fretboard every 4 mounths The basics... but the hell usefull !
Can you even try ? :D I thought about it too in order to mix and match 2 amps for recording (Actually using an Diezel Einstein) Congrats dude. For your problem, is there a conflict with your audio interface ? (with your interface switch on ?)
Really nice! Using the hand tools is a great pleasure !! I don't like the Strat or superstrat style, but your work is really great ! But, how you lock the fret ruler in your system ?
Hi there, First thread I open on SS.org And yes this is my 3rd project (the 2 first are 7 string guiatrs are you intersted ?) Here's the specs: Scales: 25.5 to 27.2" (I wanted 27.5" but there was a problem with my template...) 5 pcs Neck-thru: Ovangkol/Maple/Bubinga/Maple/Ovangkol Body: French...
AH ok! sorry dude, I didn't catch it ;) If it can reassure tou, I've done severals shity crap on my 3rd project too... Wood it's an alivve material, but nothing impossible you can always fixe it !:hbang:
To avoid these kind of scratch, you can put under you head stock another piece of wood. It's the lack of material that cause your problem. Your drill push the wood fibers and if there's nothing under it cracks !! Hope your repair is good! Nice choice of wood, specially for the neck. You xill...
You really don't see a difference between 26.5 and 27" scale. For the playing stuffs, I play on an 8 string with 28.4" (a friend's guitar) scale guitar and I have little hands. Except for the extended chord (like 9 shape...) on the begining of the neck, where I cannot do everything, the rest of...
Hi there ! Read this forum sometimes, I decided to be involved in SS.org. Already 2 seven stringed homemade guitars built (check out my youtube channel for tests!) and a 8 strings under construction (I'll open thread for these). So let's read topics ...
