Hi guys I am aware that a few people tune their extended range guitars to have a high A string, however i havent come accross any bands that use this tuning, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is the note fretted note the same as the harmonic at the 12th fret, if not the intonation is off

yeah i have played a gretsch 6 string bass, which was basically like a standard guitar tuned an octave down, which happened to have a 30" scale length although it felt didnt really know what to do with it, it was more a question of the instrument itself, the scale length was not an issue at all

I have seen quite a few acoustic harp gutiars, although they are rare and expensive they are out there however i have not really seen any electric ones, do they exist at all and if so where can i find them?
