Wow, Ruokangas is one of those guitar that is just one level above most other high end. That guitar is sick! I played a few ruokangas at a guitar exhibition - and the quality of the workmanship was just so well executed it was laughable. I would definitely not hesitate to order from this guys...

For the over the top gain settings - I find it a bit muddy - this is were marshall doesn't strike it for me personally. But 1:30 - 2:00 is a excellent dark distorted tone that is just perfect for som heavy and dirty rock, sounds really good man.

Stratocaster > Tubescreamer (or similar overdrive pedal) > Small fender tweed combo or Princeton And you're in SRV heaven!

My favorite is a tweed amp with some nice pedals in front of it. But the newest hot rod line of amps are sure damn good!

Tube amps: Orange micro terror is great, as is Blackstar HT1 but Randall RD1 also seems promising and might have a bit more gain if you are into the heavy stuff.
