cool, I'm getting my second JP 7 in a couple of weeks (carbon blue with the new compensated nut)! I may sell the first one-I'm not sure yet. Got a pretty good deal from Dubalo music. The trem is a free floating one so it can go up/down.

How do you guys like the trems on them? Do you have to get locking studs to put in ? How about the paint job- it's not chip'n dent-city like the old Ibanezs is it?

Bump for the 7321, it's a good affordable 7 with a nice slim neck.

I have both the IBZ 7421 and the C 7 Blackjack. While the C 7 is overall a better instrument the Ibz has the better neck (IMHO). The C 7 has a thicker neck and access to the upper frets is hampered by the thick cutout. I also tune B-E ,so the extended scale of the C7 puts more tension on the...

Your right about the set-up, but if you end up not liking it you know for sure you can return it if you buy from music 123, drumcity... has nothing I've seen that says you can return a item. I got mine for $1550 at Drumcityguitar land. You could also try Basscentral and Indoorstorm (.coms), or Dubaldos music-though he says he wont have any 'till the end of Nov. All together the average is $1500-2100.

I guess I'm the blacksheep here, with a set of 10s on and the extended scale of the Blackjack (B-E) I found bends and fast picking harder on the hands/wrists so I've gone down to 9s, I cant see myself going heavier than 10s without tuning down to reduce the string tension. Now with my Ibanez 7...
