It's good ol' Lamb of God. I'm never completely disappointed by what they put out. It's consistently good. This has like...a nice southern tinge to it...it's hard to describe. My least favorite part of this is, the fact that, the intro acoustic riff sounds just like the intro to their song...

This stuff sounds real good. The instrumentals are pretty solid. I've seen you guys live quite a few times, loved it. I'm excited to hear the this EP as a whole :hbang:

Well, that's a good point. The thing is, though, that I really want to play shows with both bands. It's going to be a difficult decision, because the band I'm in now practices every weekend, both days. It'll be tricky, but in the end, I think it will be a neat thing. I want peoples personal...

I've been in a band, the same one, for 2 years now. We've played tons of shows and have a somewhat big fan base (~100). We play Melodic Hardcore (i.e. The Ghost Inside, Hundredth) with a ton of other influences. Well, lately, I've been listening to a few bands...pretty much hooked...

That's the one. Whitechapel and JFAC at the same show, couldn't pass it up! However, I should have went late, I really disliked the openers :ugh: I seriously just heard a bunch of noise and shitty vocals. The vocalist for Gaza did make fun of Chelsea Grin, so that was awesome :lol:

I went to see Whitechapel and Job for a Cowboy a few years back. They were one of the opening bands. I was excited for something good, they came on. First song, I was bored/dsigusted. Not a fan I respect everyones love for them though.

Hmm, I know Emmure uses this in a few songs. Someone else posted Gojira, they use it a lot as well. It's actually made by holding your pick at a 90 degree angle from what it normally is, and then scraping it from the highest string to the lowest.

Also, maybe you could answer this for me, Justin. Why did y'all scrap the clean vocals out of the chorus for 'Forgiven'? I really thought that part fit well in the demo.

I, personally, love the shit out of them. I've seen them 4 or 5 times, when they come around, and plan on seeing them again in March when they come around with August Burns Red and Texas in July. I don't see the need for the hate in this thread. They're a solid band. Yeah, it's personal...

I've actually had the privilege of talking to Andy, he's an awesome dude. So funny. I also saw him play a time or two with For the Perilous. This, by far, is his best work yet. His vocals are sooooo good. This guitar work is just beautiful. Your phrasing is so smexy:yum: I love everything...

As far as I understand, the vocals are kind of bad because they aren't mastered. It's just the raw recording of his voice. There are a few other songs on this EP, Rebel of Babylon is my personal favorite. It's got that classic Metallica sound that I love.
