I wouldn't be too sure about that. The stuff I hear isn't just the amp. Theres alot of processing that goes on to enhance the tones. I listen to alot of weird stuff so alot of them don't use simply tube amps by themselves.

Alright thanks. It has a switch that says el34 bised or 6l6's so I wan't sure which is better. I'm not sure If the tubes are bad though. I'll check tomorrow. But the radio has happened to other people with V3's though. I've heard of it a couple times so I'm not ready to blame the tubes yet...

well... I might go with the V3. I'm supposed to get it today. Just economicly speaking, it's the better choice. Whould I be able to put mesa tubes in it and C90's to get a more Mesa tone? I want to make a Carvin/Mesa bastard child.

I'm just not getting the tone I want. I would like a Meshuggah-esque sound. Low and powerful. But I also need very clear cleans. Basically what I want to know, is the Mesa far better than the V3 and would it be worth the extra money?

I'm curious about Carvin Cabs too. I was looking at the V3 to match te head but I want to make sure it can handle low end cleanly. My low string will be a G at times so it may be hard. If not, what should I replce the speakers with?
