So even the upscale Prestige models and the super high-end J-Custom models (that are all unavailable outside Japan ) all don't help to make Ibanez more popular in Japan?
I once had a Korean-made Kramer Striker 100ST from the late 80s with a relatively decent neck but a horrible plywood body. The looks were okay, but what made the thing virtually unplayable was (a) the bridge pickup that was microphonic as hell...
OK, so he still offers that option. That's cool! As I said earlier, during the concept phase for my custom guitar, I got in touch with Lee Garver and Neil Moser who both have experience with split-fretboard construction (GMW GuitarWorks). If one of their guitars turned out to get problems over...
I strongly believe the neck heel is shaped the same way as on the 20th Anniversary RG models, e.g. a very long heel, longer than the original, with no overlap of the fretboard. This means that the reissue necks are not backward compatible with the original body pockets.

Although it's definitely not a competition, I'd like to see how Corpsegrinder88's collection looks like. :) Is it scattered across the forum or is there some kind of overview thread?
Hi again, here is (yet) another rather special guitar you won't find very often: An Ibanez SC500NNT, serial number F97..., made in Japan. This particular model appeared in the catalogs 1998 and 1999 exclusively. It came into my hands back in 2003. It is a hybrid construction, that is...
I got it back in 2009, so it's technically not a NGD. ;) One of the Ibanez guitars that I bought brand-new came with this chrome bar. I believe it was the S1520FB when I got it in 2000 but I'm not sure.
