    NGD: Early Birthday(late 90s Ibby)

Oh boy, that was a steal---congratulations! That Twilight Blue got me hooked the first time I saw the 3120 in the catalog and eventually I got myself one. It came with powder cosmo hardware that I replaced.

Anyone ever seen/played an Ibanez 430S?

Do you remember if it had the AANJ or the square heel neck joint? That's true but the seller has a bad reputation (check his feedback) and the bridge pickup has been replaced. Also I think the price is a little too high.

    Ibanez S thread

Here's my '99 Prestige S1520FB with a JS pickup configuration (DiMarzio PAF Pro at the neck and a FRED at the bridge). I really dig that Flamed Bubinga top, it has a very three-dimensional look to it. Edit: Real Ibanez nerds will notice that the '99 version didn't come with a truss...

Cool Retro Ibanez 540 Graphic Guitars

Thanks guys! I appreciate the positive feedback and the warm welcome on ss.org. Didn't want to hijack IbanezDaemon's thread, though. :)

Hello from an Ibanez fan in Germany!

Thanks tedtan. At least I'm not strictly six-string because I also love my '90 UV77MC and my '98 RG7620RB.

Cool Retro Ibanez 540 Graphic Guitars

The 1988 Pro 540 Custom Collection is featured on a poster (I have a print of that). It dates to 1987 but the guitars were intended to be sold in 1988 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Hoshino Gakki. It was the president himself, Joe Hoshino, who invited Japanese artists from within and...

Hello from an Ibanez fan in Germany!

Hello everyone, greetings from Germany! I registered to this site four years ago but in the meantime never actually used the account. Now I want to join the community for real. In the past, I've been posting on jemsite.com and some German forums, but it seems like that sevenstring.org is...

Your thoughts on the ibanez rg 2020x, fast!

Beautiful guitars indeed, these Double EDGE models. Most of the times you see many chips in the finish around the edges because the clear coat is so darn brittle. The technical difference in terms of piezo electronics between the 202* and the 212* models is the revision of the L.R. Baggs Ctrl-X...

    Ibanez Genesis Collection

It does resemble the Soundgear bass shape, that's for sure. And there's no piezo whatsoever (would be cool though - HQ trem with piezos...). The only active part is the booster circuit on the AFD45. As for the switches, it's not that complicated: 1x 3-way mini switch for pickup selection 1x...

    Ibanez Genesis Collection

I would really REALLY love to see that! It was way ahead of its time back in 1987..1989. I think that depends on the model - the AFD45 would be tough to sell today but the more PRS-related AFD25 or AFD5 might perform better, but that's just my opinion.

2 nice USRGs on ebay UK

I used to have a really beautiful USRG30TP with a magnificent maple top (that had faded into a light brown color) and I found the neck to be (a) difficult to adjust and (b) prone to buzzing. The guitar also had sub par sustain. It looked great though, but all in all I found it way overrated.
