Agreed with this. I've done a guitar layaway once, and it was last week. It's pointless 90% of the time. The layaway for Guitar Center in particular is 30 days. Now, I'm not complaining about it because it has its place. In the case I'm referring to above, I have a bunch of funds tied up in some...
Sounds like you're ordering the 727 counterpart to my 747. Basically, every option you listed plus the straplocks. :D The Vintage Yellow Metallic is beautiful and complex. It ranges from yellow, to gold, and even to some shades of orange. The satin neck is a great feel. Mine is still smooth and...
Yeah, it's ever so slightly out of place. It's definitely not enough to be an issue on mine. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't known to look at it, honestly. :)
I'll spare everyone the pics as we've all seen them, and I'm a terrible photographer. It's your standard RG927. If anyone needs some pics, I can post the Sweetwater shots. Mine has some decent figuring to the board and otherwise is black as expected. :D Ibanez knocked it out of the park on this...
Major thanks to CudBucket for this announcement of sorts. This guitar is honestly amazing. I got mine in on Tuesday, and I just now had time to restring it with my favorite Circle K's. The trem is surprisingly easy to setup. It's been about 7-8 years since I've had a locking trem. It took me...
That's mostly regarding the higher gauge bass strings. I have no problems with the .070 on my through bridge. You can shoot Skip an email to make sure it won't be an issue before ordering. As for the OP, give them a go. Like everyone else has said, the tone is phenomenal. They feel great, and...
Congrats, and that top is absolutely amazing. You can see that it's bookmatched which they did a fantastic job with as it's nearly seamless from what I can see in the pics, but the two sides are so uniquely different from one another behind the bridge. They really nailed it with the board...
It shouldn't be an option 50 anymore. The standard BKP route (not covered) is the same as Dimarzio, right? The D26 is a new option on the CT7 and DC700 for sure and should be available on the 727 and 747 if you ask.
It actually was done not too long ago. They're liable to do a variety of things if you call them up with credit card in hand when you ask, this being one that has happened before. Of course that's not to guarantee it, but it has been approved at least once recently. In the worst case, they can...
It's depends on your DAW. Most will let you, but I remember using something at some software in the past that didn't let me. What are you running? If it'll let you, it should be in the audio/hardware configuration menu or equivalent.
Pitch shifters aren't really universal so if you're going to go that route, I'd recommend experimenting with a few options. Most track terribly, and you'll need a solidly in key track running into it as it will intensify any pitch issues particularly with reverb and delay laden tracks...
Looks better with the natural body binding. The dark wood offsets stronger with the white finish than light maple would. I doubt they went with a highly figured top, either.
It may not have been returned. Carvin makes a few here or there just to keep in stock. It may have been an experiment, or maybe they wanted to put it up as an example of what could be done. To pick some nits, it does state flame spalt which does cost more to order rather than regular spalt...
First of all, small world. My wife is from Pleasureville. Wow, haha. :hbang: But yeah, JazzHands nailed it. You just won't find much ebony in this price range especially on an artist signature seven string. It's a mess to source, particularly the streak free stuff that most people expect from...
I know this has probably been discussed briefly at some point in history, but it's a rather small, obscure question that I'm not finding anything about in search. What is the deal with the Broderick pick-ups? Are they tweaked DActivators or something totally different? I'm just trying to get a...
That's what it looks like to me. Nice feature in my opinion since it'll route a straight jacked cable right up to the strap button. I'm really excited to see more on the Dinky. I haven't had much experience with Jackson's due to a lack of access locally, but it's definitely killer looking. :hbang:
I haven't had any problems with my one-piece neck. Kentucky bounces around a lot for humidity, and the only neck I've ever had a problem with was an LTD EC-401. I haven't had to adjust the Carvin's trussrod or saddles even once. I've had it for about 10 months.
On a similar note, Guitar Center took everything down. It would seem from those specs that they're humbuckers. The only thing not really settled there is the scale length.
