ok, I just found the bass soapbar covers on Mojotone.com. I had no idea passive pickups like D'activators would fit inside these active pickup covers.

What guitar did you pull the N1 and B2 out of? From what I've read they might be close to what you call the Fred or Super 3, but manufacturers cite specs for those OEM pickups Dimarzio makes for them so they aren't exactly what they might be close to. Also there are several different N1 and B2...

Why were the wires cut instead of being unplugged? This looks like it was the solderless set. I would have been interested if these were cut instead of unplugged or even unsoldered.

Ok I figured they were removable as the picture you posted shows the pickup next to the cover by itself. Was that your pic you took or the pickup manufacturers picture?

Are you including the original active Carvin pickups with this deal? Is your picture showing the maple covers your actual pickups as you said they were epoxied which would mean permanently secured. How did they compare to the active Carvins? I actually like the active Carvins in my DC800.
