No, I don't think you're crazy. Actually I think, that it's kinda in between "normal" matte laquer and glossy laquer. It feels and looks good, but more "solid" ... in a good way :D I'm flattered :D

You can perfectly see the heel on this pic: On mine, it's a bit junkier, but I think, the body on mine is a bit thicker. It still is super-playable. I think the heel is pretty much AANJ-like. I can't feel any difference to my RGD, but I'm no shredder - so I rarely get into these regions :D

Sometimes, even Ibanez comes up with something halfway decent. Still they seemingly can't offer a decent bridge and why the fuck to they always have to throw ugly dot-inlays in the guitars? Do something without inlays, with sharktooths or at least with the small dots, dammit!

I'm too much a perfectionist for that. When I write something, I expect it to be of the same quality as the last song, I wrote. That's totally idiotic - and I know it. Maybe I just have to force me, at least trying it. I can always go back and pick those ideas apart.
