I used car enamel, I am getting some flaking , it was an experiment but i did learn a few things . you have to scruff up the surface a whole bunch more, almost media blast to get it to stick. Next time I will get it :)

Ok were back and its finally warm enough to spray out side , or at least open some doors and windows. God knows 2 part clear needs some ventilation. I hit it with 5 or 6 coats so far. I will let it cure and then wet sand to see if in needs any more.
I picked it up on ebay for $300ish. I guess it got damaged on the way to the store cause it was brand new ( still had all the tags and stickers). I figured it worth even just for the floyd and emgs. But it is on schedule to fix
I am not sure how long the finish will last. But that said i did learn a few things about the concept. #1 The finish on the floyd when you start makes a big difference. The chrome plated ones have a few layers from the chrome that are not friendly with paint. Where as the black ones are are...
