I have one but it is a carved top one and did not have the EMG's. But it is a great guitar. The neck is on the narrow side but comfy. I would not classify it as a fast neck. It does get the most wide range of tones with the coil tap. But a great guitar
This guitar is a few years old but new to you guys Well I wanted a guitar that was simple straightforward and excuse to build and tinker. So I i present my Snowblind Mockingbird. Now the body and neck came from Warmoth, which to me is like a snap together model kit. But i made some mod design...
It all depends on how I feel once i fix the body crack. I do love a beat up guitar If i remember they came in white, black, and red, I may have seen a dark blue as well I know right! but if I fill it i will probably put a brass block in there first for a little mass then fill the rest I...
Ok this is the one I have been hunting for . My great white whale if you will. My first real Guitar was a 84 explorer and like a dumb ass I sold it. So for the last 10-15 years I have been looking for one that was A) had not had the "Hetfield Mod" in other words still had the original...
Got my new one in and it sounds amazing. I think what makes those years late 83-85 is they made them out of Adler/maple instead of the standard mahogany/maple
we all have had that one guitar for what ever reason we wish we would not of sold or traded away. So what was yours? Mine ... my 1984 Gibson Explorer one of the white ones with the pinstripe under the finish. I got it new for xmas it was my frist "real guitar" sounded amazing. Wound up selling...

Here is my main for years. I believe it is a 94 Heritage CM-150. The Emgs at 81/81's. Grover tuners, and schaller Roller bridge. This thing is a monster, sounds great. Grooves rubbed into the covers The back
True a story would be in order. This was one of those classic busted finger on the bridge, but i must of hit an artery. During the first song my pick felt "sticky" and i looked down and blood was going everywhere. I had it on my amps, floor my shoes. Thing was after the clean up it was so...
You ever notice when it comes to packing a van, suitcase, movie truck no one can do it like a someone in a band. Does anyone have any horror stories of trying to get the gear from point A to point B. In heading to Europe I had to get 3 weeks of clothes and gear in bags I could carry myself and...
Great post full of great info. But I can give a different point of view. In my opinion the number one factor in getting an endorsement is being a able to be friendly and shoot the shit with people and luck. Mind you talent and being popular never hurts :) I can only give my story as an...
