Much better man! I agree with col, i'd add a slight 10kHZ shelf just to open up the mix a little, those clean leads are still too loud in the mix for me personally, but overall it's sounding good.
I'm listening on some KRK monitors and it seems really bass heavy to me, those little ambient leads are too high in the mix IMO as well. If I were you i'd boost the low mids on your guitars, cut some sub bass from the bass guitar and some mids and bring the volume of the bass down. What did you...
Dude that tone is massive! I love how well compressed you have this mix without any bad frequencies coming through, everything is where it should be. This is a completely professional sounding mix I really can't fault anything with it aside from subjective things that are just my personal taste...
Hey guys here's a new version based on your suggestions I feel it's much rounder and louder too https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/New%20song%202%20master%202.mp3?_subject_uid=76957926&w=AAB3-iSz-DgY06bmSHjTjiktdo7ywSUMqaZGGe37gvdPCQ
Yeah I was wondering myself if they were too bright, i'll roll off some top end and give that low mids hump a go on the bass. That's a good idea sidechaining the kick drum i'll give that a go too :)
Hey guys i've been working on a new track and i'm pretty happy with it overall but I just haven't quite got that polish and sheen that i'm after, anyone care to have a listen and throw me some suggestions? https://soundcloud.com/christophermoss/new-song-2 Drums: Superior Drummer 2.0...
I think Egnater must have touched him inappropriately at night as a kid, either that or his Mum had an affair with an Egnater and his parents got a divorce lol
He did the same thing to me a while back. He was saying that the Vengeance/Armageddon absolutely under no circumstances works with V30's and anyone who thought otherwise was crazy and should go get their hearing checked. Apparently his "studio" friend agrees with him. I told him tone is...
HNAD! If the Vengeance is anything like the Armageddon, it is biased super cold from the factory. I used to complain about the brittle gain but after re-biasing over the weekend she now sings. Every bit as fat and saturated as my 6505+
I use a Palmer PDI-03 for direct recording from my amps with RedWirez IRs and it sounds fine. Are you sure the Hotplate you have can act as a dummy load? Is the signal clipping or just doesn't sound good? What's your signal path from your amp to your pc?
