For me I don't mind listening to hard rock and Metal songs in standard tuning but the moment I try to learn them I don't like how my distorted tones sound. So for some reason tuning half step down, personally, sounds better. Learning Jazz, country or other genres is not a problem.
Currently my floyd is blocked and I want it to go back to floating because I want to learn some Pantera and Steve vai songs. Good thing there's some pantera songs on YouTube tune to 440. Anyway, I read online that muting a floyd rose ala Metallica way, the E string will sound or go out of tune...
They go 1000 or more used on reverb. I saw one at 800 but if there's not a big difference between the old and new in sound, 'll just get the old tech at reasonable price.
I can get one used for 500 but before doing that I use plugins and I wonder is there going to be a difference in dynamics and tone? Youtube doesn't do justice. My current practice gear is a scarlett 3rd gen, amp sims and jbl monitors.
Thank you guys for the tips. TheWarAgaintsTime- I'm aiming for metallica cleans and funk style clean Ala strat. I'm trying emissary and ml sound lab Dumble
I can get a decent tone out of them but there's this feel and this crispy tone for cleans missing. And also noisy interface with high gain. I have played amp modelers like the catalyst, katana and Yamaha thr without any issues. I did try a boss gt100 with my setup but run to the same problem...
Thank you guys for commenting. I'll get the trem stopper, not really looking to block the entire bridge. I want it to work like a strat bridge by diving only.
Hello, I want to install a trem stopper but before ordering one online I want to know if it's going to be a problem installing it due to where it gets install it's not flat?
