Well here is the sound check anyways. If anyone finds any more videos of them playing together feel free to post here. Glad to see he is out there getting himself some recognition. :shred:
I agree. The new album rules. I enjoy them more without the singer i think. I think that they could do better with a different singer anyways. Their old singer seemed to hold them back IMO. He wasn't nearly as talented as the other members.
This is a band i recently found out about over the the Grinding the apparatus website. That website rules. They have tons of great reviews and recently I've discovered to plenty of new extremely talented bands. Lye By Mistake is a pretty talented band in the vein of The Dillinger Escape Plan...

The reason why this twelve tone music is interesting is because it's not truly atonal. It's split into three separate diminished tonal units with the notes jumbled around. It's a cool concept. I can't wait for this DVD, Ron is a rhythmic genius.
I wish there was more quality footage of this band out there, this rocks. It seems like most of it is just crappy bootlegs and stuff. The highest quality stuff i've seen of people playing their music is the RiversOfGore covers. Thanks for the link. More coming soon.:hbang:
the sound quality sucks but there is the new song. Did you guys even look? seriously... Sounds interesting but it's too muddy for me to judge at this point.
This question needs to be more specific. Are you looking for stuff from the classical period? Or just "art" music. I could offer a lot of suggestions but it's important to know what you are looking for. Do you appreciate atonal music? I guess just let me know what you want.
I think the vocals are lame but the leads are pretty cool. Some interesting ideas, although I can hear a lot of Rusty licks in his playing. I kinda feel he should work on his own lead style a little more. Still excellent playing regardless.:shred:
I agree wholeheartedly^^ It would have been sweet to hear Machacek out of his element a little bit and working with Planet X. Macalpine is great though. Heck all their guitar players have been.
derryl gabel is also worth a mention. scott mishoe has his moments zeb from aeon is talented i suppose Tj helmeric is amazing. he plays with brett garsed. I think george bellas sucks but someone might enjoy him. I hate his tone. Necrophagist shreds (but i'm sure everyone...
yea, I would say meshuggah lyrics are the pinnacle for me. Opeth i hold in high esteem as well. Both bands are lyrically superior to most metal IMO. If i wanna listen to lyrics i typically don't listen to too much metal. For me metal is more about the overall sound and music than the words.
no prob. I wish guys like this got more exposure from like mainstream guitar magazines and stuff. I just try and get the names out there. What did you guys think of Marshall Harrison, bumblefoot and the other guys I posted about?
