Mix test. thrash metal. new axe fx patch.

Nice sound, but it seems that the guitars are a bit too loud in comparison to the drums.

Nice, I know you wanted feedback for the instrumental stuff but these vocals are just too awesome. xD Otherwise I also like the rest of the mix, maybe there is something with the guitars in high-mid range, but I couldn´t identify it exactly yet.

Nah, not close enough, I started learning death metal vocals just 2 years ago or so and still trying to improve every day, I´m still not pleased enough with it. ^^

Amon Amarth - War of Gods Cover

Hey guys, I tweaked the vocals a little bit since the last demo and uploaded it on youtube. Any tips from your side to maybe improve my vocal recording quality? <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kjr51_MTi8g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Opeth-ish riffage

Much better maybe you can add even a little more reverb or delay.

    Opeth-ish riffage

Hmm seems like the vocals are kinda lost ind this huge instrumental sound. For a first improvement I would try to turn it a bit louder and maybe add some more lower mids.

Would you like to help me with getting a betetr handle on vox? (Trivium cover)

Nice, how did you recorded the whole thing? ^^ And for the vocals I would experiment with reverb and delay. That should do it.

First try ... Death content (revalver 3.5; s2.0; ampegSVX)

Really? If have a soundcloud-account on my own and i don´t have those kinds of problems. The only one is that they can´t be embedded here.

First try ... Death content (revalver 3.5; s2.0; ampegSVX)

Too much clipping is this sample and next time, please record more than 12 seconds. ^^

    Terrible quality with recording

Could you update a sample of your dry guitar sound without any impulses and stuff so that we can hear what you have to handle with?

    Steven slate EX

Really? I would say the same about SD, somehow I like the cymbals in Slate much more, they sound more dynamic to me.

And in addition I also think Steven Slate has better humanizing-algorithms.

Amon Amarth cover - need some help with mix

Hmmm... maybe try the compressor at the end of the chain and add some more room with delay and reverb but sounds okay to me, what guitar did you use for this records?

Amon Amarth cover - need some help with mix

guitars: How does you signal chain look after the POD? Do you use ampsims and impulses or the internal sounds? drums: Addictives Drums right? Hmmm... i would search for some better presets as a better starting point and afterwards try to tweak the velocity, so it tweaks the feeling of a real...

Amon Amarth - War of Gods Cover need Helpf with Vocals

Hey guys, I found a video on Youtube by a guy covering this awesome song. I wrote him and he agreed that I could use his instrumental to put some vocals on there. I´m not the best at mixing vocals so, what do you think? I would like to improve it whereever possible. <object width="100%"...
