So i thought id upgrade my damien 6 pickups which come stock with EMG hz's. Its a bolt on with a basswood body. For the neck I chose the Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz but am unsure what to put in the bridge. I want something with nice body to it that I could use for metal and rock. I was thinking...
I've seen people with $30,000 worth of equipment and the recordings sound worse than something on a 4 track mixer. Its not about how much you spend, its how you use what equipment you have. Pods are definately a great way to record guitars and bass. Drums wise if you're talking samples, the...
It bothers me too! The reason why is because I dont have a bass and had to record the bass parts with a guitar, and then pitch shift it. So you dont really get that clarity unfortunately.
Hey guys, I've been working on this track for awhile now, and while its sounding good so far, im still not 100% happy with it. I wanted that big "black album" sound, which im sort of near at the moment(who am i kidding im not bob rock), but my problem is because there are a few thrash riffs...
Well... I have two other guitars with EMG's and the reason i went for the C7 blackjack was for versatility. It definately dielivers if you want something with nice warm cleans and jazz tones yet still want that heavy low end for heavier stuff.
Hey fellas Theres a new Metallica sample up from Death Magnetic. Definately the best thing i've heard from it so far. Great riffing, really sounds like the Justice days. BLABBERMOUTH.NET - METALLICA: New Audio Sample Available Cant wait to hear the rest of the album.
If importing from Guitar Pro make sure you check the velocity levels. You want standard hits to be between 120-127. For ghost notes and lighter hits you can experiment.
I believe Tommy over Dino. Look at Dino's history. The guy falls out with every band he's worked with; He's a control freak.Tommy's statement made a hell of alot more sense than Dinos.
I really like Truth Part 1. I actually prefer the vocal demo version. The newer version seems abit too polished. IMO the vocals are too loud in the new version and dont sit in the mix. The guitars are abit quiet too, they could be a bit more in your face. But love the stuff, keep it up.
You're heading into the right direction. Everything sounds very flat and lifeless atm. But I guess it just depends on what kind of production you're looking at getting. To make the drums sound a little more "alive" try adding a bit of reverb to the snare(not too much, just enough for it to...
Condenser Microphones need phantom power to run. Pod X3 does not offer phantom power, therefore you need a phantom power box in order to power the microphone up. You can purchase these from any music/pro audio shop.
This track isnt as generic as most people are making it out to be. I've heard a hell of alot worse generic/rip off stuff than this. It really all depends on the vocals. I really like it. Keep it up dude.
Thanks alot man. Yeah ive found the damien series to be a really good value for money guitar. If you get a chance go try one out but they are great as a backup guitar and even come up well on recordings.
