I don't know too much about neck thikess. I know Ibanezes (Ibaneze?) have thinner necks, but up until now I've been playing mostly Schecter and Agile, which I guess are on the thicker side?
I've been wanting a headless guitar, and a tremelo for awhile now, and the ZT3 looks pretty good in videos I've seen it in, and I know Paul Masvidal from Cynic has played one, but I'm wondering if anyone here has one or has played one enough to go into more detail about it's quality, and if...
Anata maybe. Going by what you're saying, they might be a bit to melodic, but I might as well suggest them. This one is a bit more melodic, but they do "sad" melodies really well imo. Bloodbath is good, too.
Well, I don't really feel "guilty" about listening to a certain band, but I know Disturbed and Blessed by a Broken Heart would probably fall into this category. I still jam Ten Thousand Fists pretty often. Honestly one of my favorite albums of the 00's.
Thanks, I didn't know about the $100 dollars off thing, but this purchase still might not happen until late July/early August, so I don't know if that deal is a lasting thing. And still, while I said my budget is "around 1000", cheaper would be much preferred. I really don't have much extra...
So I've recently decided that I have more important things to use my money on than guitars (blasphemous, I know), and I'm going to stick with what I have, a six and a seven. ...but I just need one more to satisfy my GAS, and I've narrowed it down to three choices. 1) LTD AW-7...
"SCP" is from a site caled the SCP Foundation. It's pretty much a collection of weird, creepy stories told through the viewpoint of a secretive foundation making reports on the strange things they find and contain. That image is used in one of the more well known articles on the site. If you...
Thanks to everyone who gave advice. I think I'm going to look for something used (for now, at least), probably Agile, but who knows, maybe I'll find a good deal on a used DC800. I just think, after weighing my options, it might be wiser of me to wait on any $1000+ guitars until I get a better...
haha well thanks! I'll have to check out those ads then. Although I still feel like I should get a bit more involved around here before I try to buy from some one, otherwise it kind of feels like I'm just using the community to find a cheap guitar. That's why I thought there was a requirement to...
Well I can't buy one from here, can I? Don't you need 100 posts or something? edit: Wait, sorry, you probably meant that as an example of how cheap they can get. Well I can keep a lookout on ebay and craigslist and see if one that catches my eye pops up, and speaking of used, how much do...
Sorry, something I forgot to mention in my first post (definitely should have), I have played an eight string before, an RG2228, and I had no trouble playing it, just like I had almost no trouble going from six to seven. I felt fine with eight strings, although I really didn't like the...
Well, if I decide to go with the Carvin, I think I'll definitely customize it a bit, and I've played around with their custom spec thing on their site a few times and had it be around 1200 to 1400 depending on what I was feeling at the moment. The thing with getting another Agile is, as...
Hey, I'm a long time lurker, and joined awhile ago, but still just lurked mostly. I got my first seven string recently (an Agile Septor elite). See, I went with Agile because I'd heard many good things on these forums, and they are relatively cheap, and didn't want my first guitar above six...
