I haven't seen BTBAM in years. This seems worth heading out to. I'd not heard of The Safety Fire before this. While they're not my typical style, I really dig the few songs I heard online.
I'm not crazy about it, but that's mostly related to taste. The production of it is fine. The drums don't jump out like they should, and I'd attribute that to the samples used. The snare and kick samples kind of disappear when there's a lot going on musically. The vocals are much stronger...
Turn down the volume knob on the guitar. Blackouts are ridiculously high output, so clean tones aren't going to happen a lot of the with the volume maxed.
That purple is awesome. This isn't the first BRJ I've seen with gaps in the glue around the neck shim. I'm glad it still seems to sound and perform well. You could probably make platinum series Schecter sing though.
I really dig the yellow as well. This is 100% your call though. How different are the specs from what you wanted originally? Here's the thread I had them listed in: http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/dealers-group-buys/185401-rico-jr-direct-stock-thread.html Looks like the pictures no longer...

Yeah. He and I went back and forth a lot about what kinds of trends were on the rise around that time. He kept bring up the thing about a "modern tele", but I couldn't get behind it. I guess there's potential there. I wasn't dazzled by the ones he came up with. I really preferred the single...
Can someone enlighten me? I've not seen enough of these, so is it normal for the side markers to be offset? If so, what's the point? It looks like they might be centered with the high fret end though.
So let's sum up a few of the things that look especially bad for these guys right now: 1. Jim plans on refunding 3 (or 4) builds within the next 90-120 days. 2. He has $23,000 in wood sitting around that he can't use. 3. His paint guy is no longer doing any work until Jim catches up on...
