Last year I bought a 2019 RG550 Genesis in DY for 700 CAD (480 euro) and it was in excellent condition, all original. I think that was below market rate though.
My vote is for the 5150 Iconic. But more importantly, you're asking for a tube amp recommendation, but it sounds like what you want is to record silently. So you want both in one? The amps you listed are essentially all doing preamp out for recording, plus an IR. I think that's why...
Curious about REVV, what lineage of bands is it based on, do you know? Like if you were to create broad categories of amps, most amp would fall in one category or another, where would you place the REVV G?
You really cannot use a HX Stomp XL? and if not, are you really sure you need the extra processing and it's not simply a "nice to have"? I get it, it's not wrong to want to full power device without a pedal, especially since other manufacturers offer that form factor. But given what we have...
But the user experience of building patches in Native is so so bad. A hardware device + HX Edit is much better. In case someone doesn't know, you can't drag-n-drop, copy/paste and quick save on Helix Native. All actions that are crucial (IMO) to a fast workflow of building presets. Helix...
EVH 5150 Iconic 15w or 40w Truly awesome amps that sound so amazingly good at low volumes, have presence and resonance controls and more gain that you'll ever probably need. How I wish these existed when I was a teen starting out. The inflation adjusted price would be like $500 CAD in early 2000s.
I do really struggle with this grey area personally. Do people feel like if you're meeting expectations, then it's kinda whatever? I never feel quite comfortable noodling on the guitar even though I know I'm meeting (or exceeding) expectations. I struggle with this dilemma.
Yes please!! Edit: just today I contacted a local company that refinishes guitars. I want to get my RG752 refinished. Turns out the pricing is a lot more reasonable than I thought.
Yeah, I have an RG752 that has a limba wood top. It's cool, looks better in person than in pictures. But if I could have it in Galaxy Black instead I 100% would prefer that. It reminds me of the RG2228, I think if it only came in the Nebula Green Burst with the anaemic looking natural back, it...
That's right. Except typically the numbering is stated in the reverse order that you posted (position 1 bridge HB, etc...). And the split coil position is both inner coils.
